In a remarkable display of teamwork and resilience, the Indus U13B hockey team overcame significant roster challenges to secure a stunning victory against Redcliff, showcasing the power of collaboration within the Indus hockey community.

The U13B team found themselves severely short-handed, entering the game with only four forwards, four defensemen, and a lone goalie. Facing this daunting situation, the team looked for support, turning to their U11A counterparts for assistance.

Four players from the U11A team (Brayden Zimmer, Beckett Bouchard, Parker Nijhuis, and Bentley Pike) answered the call, despite having just finished their own game earlier that day. With remarkable dedication and sportsmanship, these players swiftly made their way to Redcliff, a 2.5-hour journey, hitting the ice just after the puck dropped.

What followed was a testament to teamwork and unity. The U11A affiliates seamlessly integrated into the U13B lineup, showcasing their skills and determination. Their contribution was nothing short of phenomenal, with the U11A players remarkably scoring two of the three goals that propelled Indus to a 3-1 victory over Redcliff.

The successful collaboration between the U13B and U11A teams exemplified the true essence of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and support within the Indus hockey association. It highlighted the willingness of players to step up and assist their fellow teammates in times of need, ultimately leading to a memorable triumph on the ice.

This inspiring demonstration of teamwork and solidarity serves as a shining example of the positive outcomes that can arise from inter-team cooperation and support. The dedication and spirit displayed by the players from both teams embody the values that define not just a game, but a community bound by a love for hockey.

As the final buzzer sounded, the victory belonged not just to the U13B team but to the collective effort and collaboration that made this win possible—a testament to the strength of unity within the Indus hockey family.  These four U11A players earned the game heart & hustle / MVP.
